Is CASH the only Motivator that counts

Is CASH the only Motivator that counts? ● What is the best recognition reward - Question asked by Steven Burda, MBA on LINKEDIN

The recognition or reward for different people may have different appeal. A hard working and dedicated employee, when gets a couple of quick raises for best performance, would mean a big motivation for him where as the ceo of the same company would be best motivated in seeing his company receive Government or Industry Association Recognition for Business Excellence. People at different levels and different stages in their career or life are looking for motivation through a value edition to their Name, Fame or Personal Wealth.

One can therefore infer that Cash is not necessarily the best motivating factor for every one. Few Million Dollars Award would mean nothing to Mr. Bill Gates but he would certainly be happier to see his name at the Top in World’s wealthiest man list in the Fortune or Forbes. The Presidents or the Prime Ministers of the countries may be more motivated through the receipt of Awards like Noble Prize. Here again the amount received in the Noble Prize is not important but the Name or Recognition it gives to recipient is considered more valuable.
